Rebuilding

Reconstruction (Remodeling):

Reconstruction of a building refers to a process where the facilities, external appearance, interior appearance, and interior plan of a building can be altered. Additionally, it can enhance the strength and resistance of the structure. Even the usage of the building can be changed, either partially or entirely.

Reconstruction or restoration means addressing and improving problems and beautifying deteriorated structures, where major components such as ceilings, walls, columns, and floors are still intact and fully functional with proper restoration. Reconstruction can be partial or total; partial reconstruction may involve tasks like repairing a ceiling, sanitary services, and bathroom due to the damage caused by old pipes, while total reconstruction may include changing the internal walls of a deteriorated building, or replacing all plumbing, electrical systems, faucets, mechanical installations (heating and cooling), stone, ceramics, wall paint, etc., to enhance the environment’s aesthetics. The advantage of reconstruction over new construction is lower costs, faster completion, and less intervention in the building structure due to lighter construction operations.

Benefits of Building Reconstruction:

1. Energy Efficiency: Using new materials such as thermal insulation for the ceiling, double-glazed windows, etc., can prevent energy loss to a considerable extent.
2. Creating New Spaces: Reconstruction allows for the optimal use of spaces. For example, transforming a sloping room into a storage room or a private room or converting an apartment terrace into a small and green yard.
3. Increased Comfort: Old floor plans sometimes create discomfort in accessing different parts, which can be resolved in a new design based on new architectural principles.
4. Aesthetics and Escaping Uniformity: Reconstruction of a house creates a new and good-feeling space based on personal taste. New colors and materials create a significant difference, where lighting and the arrangement of items are crucial. When talking about aesthetics, the external appearance is also essential. With a wide range of colors and shapes, bricks, tiles, and stones can create an attractive appearance.
5. Investment: Building reconstruction is not only an investment in your quality of life but also an investment in the building itself. Due to the use of strong and durable building materials, maintenance costs are reduced, increasing the property’s value and lifespan.

Proper insulation and consequently, the reduction in energy costs can be considered a long-term investment and savings.
